Powell & Son is the new label from Dave Powell the legendary founder and winemaker of Torbreck. Torbreck is one of Australia's top "cult" producers and after Dave left in 2013, he founded Powell & Son with his son Callum.

The Riverside GMS is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Mataro (Mourvedre) and 10% Shiraz. The Riverside Grenache Shiraz Mataro is intense in its perfumed aromas of cherry liqueur and blackberry compote, with notes of spice and anise. The palate is voluptuous and supple, with the Grenache component shining through. Intense flavors of dark fruits predominate, are complimented by notes of backing spice, lavender and mint followed by velvety tannins providing a backbone to carry the flavors through to the finish.
