While the 2021 vintage threw curve balls at every stage, 2022 was mercifully the opposite and we couldn’t be more pleased. In fact, I’d go as far as saying this 2022 Rosé is the most exciting vintage in recent memory. The warm and dry conditions allowed for a bit more concentrated flavor and yet we were able to retain natural freshness to maintain balance. The harvest started for us in Aix by mid-September (several weeks later than most in the lower elevation areas of Provence) and finished up mid-October. We have been planting and grafting over a lot over the last decade and we’re being rewarded now with a broader mix of varietals and percentages which is at the core of the ever-expanding flavor profile. Grenache and Syrah have always been at the core of the wine with Cinsault, Rolle and now even Grenache Blanc coming on in recent years.
